Real Talk: May 2018 Recap

Can you believe it is already June? It stopped feeling like summer for me because it has been raining so much this week. I even had to pull out my fuzzy robe again (thought I could store that sucker away, but nope!) because it is just so cold!

Anyway, here are some things that happened in May 2018 🙂

Real Talk: A Short Life Update

I have been thinking about how to write this post for awhile. Chances are that it is going to be weird and difficult to read but we’ll just go with it.

May has been kinda tough for me (glad it is almost over!) and I am very much looking forward to June at the moment because I will be going on vacation towards the end of the month. Nothing too fancy, keeping it local this time around, but I am still really excited.

Real Talk: April 2018 Recap

Hey everyone,

Thanks for stopping by. So it is now the end of April and I thought it’d be appropriate to do a recap post for this month, as I don’t really have a lot of favourites to share with you. I don’t usually have new things to share every month because I am a creature of habit and I am also trying not to spend too much money to buy things that I do not necessarily need. And experiences are important too, right?

Spring is finally here!

Real Talk: Of Purpose and Planning

Consider this, if you will, my introductory post that I should’ve put up a long time ago. I was really surprised by how hard it was for me to come up with words for this post, even just to start writing (Believe me, I have been mashing that backspace button LOL). I mean, shouldn’t I know myself by now?

Let’s get into it, shall we?

Real Talk: Decluttering Your Space

I remember spending an entire weekend just watching videos on YouTube of people cleaning out their closets/makeup collection/entire house and it was so addicting and almost therapeutic. It seems like something that is super popular right now, thanks to books like “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo and documentaries such as “Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things”. I have to admit, I haven’t read or watched either of these, but I guess their influence is widespread enough to get me inspired to share with you 3 ways that I declutter my stuff.

Real Talk: Mental Health Week 2017

Happy Monday everyone! It’s the first day of May (a.k.a. the first REAL day of spring according to my books), and the sun was out too! I finally booked my appointment to get my tires changed and hopefully this nice weather is here to stay. Fingers crossed!

Today also marks the first day of the CMHA Mental Health Week.

Real Talk: Digital Detox

Okay, I admit it. I am a social media/Internet addict. I have relied on social media as one of my main sources of entertainment, to the point where I would choose it over catching up on a show, or reading a good book, or even… sleeping at a decent time. Yeah. It’s that bad.

So when I found myself trying to crawl out of a really bad (metaphorical/mental) space about a month ago, my friend Emily suggested that I delete Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. To be honest, I didn’t think I could do it. I didn’t delete my accounts, just the apps from my phone, because that’s where I normally catch up on feeds. And sadly, for Facebook I did cheat a little bit by sneaking a look here and there when I was doing stuff on my computer (sorry, Emily!).

How else would I have found out that my ex coworker had her baby?
