Thanks for stopping by. So it is now the end of April and I thought it’d be appropriate to do a recap post for this month, as I don’t really have a lot of favourites to share with you. I don’t usually have new things to share every month because I am a creature of habit and I am also trying not to spend too much money to buy things that I do not necessarily need. And experiences are important too, right?
Spring is finally here!
Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be sharing with you some things I have been enjoying lately, and some other things that I want to do and to try as well. It’s gonna be a mishmash of stuff that I want to recommend and review, and I will most likely use this as a personal reminders list as well!
Let’s jump on in!
I wouldn’t call myself a fashionista by any means at all, but I do love shopping for clothes. Throw a good deal on top of that and you’ve got my money. That’s it. Who’s with me?
So I found this gem of a store a couple weekends ago!
I remember spending an entire weekend just watching videos on YouTube of people cleaning out their closets/makeup collection/entire house and it was so addicting and almost therapeutic. It seems like something that is super popular right now, thanks to books like “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo and documentaries such as “Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things”. I have to admit, I haven’t read or watched either of these, but I guess their influence is widespread enough to get me inspired to share with you 3 ways that I declutter my stuff.
I know this post is pretty much a month late, and I am sorry about that. May has been a month of ups and downs, and I am just now trying to get back into the groove. Here are some photos from the EMHAC Pancakes and Promises event on April 30th this year!
Happy Monday everyone! It’s the first day of May (a.k.a. the first REAL day of spring according to my books), and the sun was out too! I finally booked my appointment to get my tires changed and hopefully this nice weather is here to stay. Fingers crossed!
Today also marks the first day of the CMHA Mental Health Week.
It has been so gloomy outside that I haven’t been wanting to leave my house at all (I am such a homebody it’s no joke). But I am so glad I had my friend’s bridal shower to go to this past Saturday. I had never been to a bridal shower before so I didn’t really know what to expect. In my head I thought it’d be kind of raunchy, kind of bougie, and it would be a bunch of lovely ladies getting a little tipsy. I was pleasantly surprised; Amy threw a wonderful bridal shower and it was just so much fun. I certainly felt the love and excitement. Springtime is definitely a time of fresh starts and new beginnings.
Here are some of my favourite photos from the bridal shower.
